Ara Hovsepyan is a licensed architect based in California whose work spans single family residential, multifamily, and business, and institutional building types.
His practice combines early-stage feasibility analysis, zoning and building code interpretation, and design exploration to help clients understand what is possible before committing to a project.
Ara regularly interfaces with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), assists clients through the building permit process, and supports procurement and consultant coordination. His work often involves leading multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, interior design, lighting, acoustical, geotechnical, arborist, and civil consultants, aligning regulatory requirements with design intent and constructability.
Ara Hovsepyan, known through his practice Ara Hovsepyan Architecture [AHA], is an American architect, songwriter, and content creator. Regarded as one of the most prolific architectural content creators, he is credited with popularizing mnemonic devices to reinforce architectural concepts relevant to the Architect Registration Exam.
